March 2019

This cute girl was excited to show me her picture of what she'll look like when she's 100! I love the wrinkled paper.

Olivia had just watched a Winnie the Pooh movie and wrote me a note and left it on my door. She likes to draw pictures for people.

For dance a couple weeks before the recital parents can come watch and they do a costume check to make sure everyone has everything. Olivia was excited that they were using their umbrella's for their Mary Poppin's dance.

When it was Olivia's turn to make a poster for star of the week she went all out. She picked out the poster, papers, stickers and everything she wanted included on her poster.

I helped with our schools Mom and Son's activity. We had Scales and Tails come with some different animals, line dancing and nachos for refreshments. Matt was nice enough to come help me with the food and serving and Kaleb came just to check everything out.

Dance pictures on a cold March morning!

March 16, 2019

Olivia set up an elaborate trap for the Leprechaun with Kaleb's help. She gets so excited for holidays no matter how small they are.

She made a fort under the stairs and she was very clear that no boys were allowed. There was a hand scanner to be able to get it and rules. It didn't stop Ashton from trying to break in a couple of times. He likes to give Olivia a hard time.

March 17, 2019

She spend most of her time in there decorating and reading books.

We had the big 20 week ultrasound marking the halfway point of the pregnancy. Everything looked great, we did find out the placenta was anterior where it's between the baby and the outside of my stomach. It wasn't a big deal and I believe is more common with IVF. Usually the only thing it affects is feeling the baby move as easily but Gabe had no problems with that. I've never had a more active baby inside of me!

Olivia and all of her stuffed animals she likes to sleep with. And she still loves a sleep mask.

Ashton received his arrow of light award. They do a ceremony where they talk about what each of the 7 virtues are and what they mean as they turn on a lightbulb for each one.

March 21, 2019

Both of my boys loved scouts and the 11 year old leaders that have done it for a long time loved the boys. They said how good behaved they always were and especially how kind Ashton is. He's such a thoughtful kid and is so polite to everyone.

Matt had work off for part of the kids spring break. With being a surrogate after you are so far along you usually aren't supposed to leave the state since the laws for surrogacy vary from state to state. It's just to help keep things from getting messy legally if you gave birth due to preterm labor etc. With needing to save my time off work for when I had the baby and also just staying close by just in case I stayed home.

The day they left I went into Kaleb's room for something and saw this next to his bed. Apparently he couldn't just throw away his chewed gum at night he was collecting it in this overflowing sacrament cup. Gross!

March 23, 2019

It was kind of a last minute trip but Matt and the kids drove to California on Friday, March 22nd. On Saturday, they hiked up to the Griffith Observatory and saw the Hollywood sign off in the distance also.

March 23, 2019

Matt was really good about taking pictures for me. He knows I love having pictures and especially since I wasn't there.

They also checked out downtown disney shopping area and the Lego store.

They went to the beach to play in the water and build a sand castle but it was a little cold to get in and actually swim much.

When they were leaving this big group asked them if they wanted pizza since they had extra. They were nice and gave Matt 2 whole pizza's and the pizza's were HUGE. And it meant they didn't have to go get dinner anywhere.

The next morning they were off to Knott's Berry Farm. We haven't been there in so long so Kaleb's the only one who has been there and he was a lot younger. They stopped for breakfast in the hotel lobby and were on their way.

March 24, 2019

It was kind of crowded since it was a Sunday and there were a lot of locals. Next time we'll make sure it's a weekday to go there. They had to wait the longest for this first coaster they rode. It was the first ride and Olivia cried after getting off and hated every second of it. It is a fast and intense coaster so I don't blame her. Unfortunately it made her not want to go on other rides throughout the day.

Kaleb had fun and went off by himself a couple of times to do some of the bigger coasters Olivia didn't want to do.

They stayed from open to close and they all had so much fun. Olivia fell right asleep back at the room.

The next day they checked in to the Great Wolf Lodge. I've always wanted to try this place out but it's not worth staying there if you're not using the water park and since it's by Disneyland we're usually in the parks everyday. This was the perfect time to try it out plus the weekday rates were really good.

March 25, 2019

Olivia said she almost drowned (she just got swept under a tube which scared her) on the lazy river so she was in a life jacket the whole time to make sure that didn't happen.

The kids loved playing on all of the water slides and pools they had. The next day they swam for most of the day again and then drove to Primm on the border of Nevada and California so that their drive home the next day wouldn't be quite as long. Matt did great taking them on a trip all by himself and the kids loved it!

Meanwhile my office was being tiled which meant moving all of the office stuff into the attached apartment for the week.

March 25, 2019

I love checking out some of the webcams in Hawaii, I look at different islands but my favorite is of the resort we stay on Kauai. This day there was a rainbow and it made me want to be back on the beach. Such a beautiful place!
