June 2017

I'm glad my kids love watermelon as much as me, I live on watermelon in the summer!

June 1, 2017

Kaleb wouldn't lift his head up for a picture so I took one anyways.

June 2, 2017

This girl loves having a pool at my work.

Ashton was practicing with his snorkel for our cruise in November.

We spent the weekend at the cabin. Olivia thought the marshmallows looked best on her head.

June 3, 2017

On Saturday my family came up to eat and play at the lake. We had bought another kid kayak from Costco for Ashton to use since the boys love to paddle but the 3 person one is really big and harder for them to maneuver.

Olivia loves playing on the shore the most.

Matt was determined to use one of the youth kayaks but he kept falling off no matter how hard we tried. It was great entertainment for the rest of us.

Olivia was helping push Matt out deeper...

...only to fall off again.

Kaleb and Ashton love to bug each other. Ashton decided to push Kaleb back in the water.

My brother came up after work and Christian loved riding in the kayak.

The next day we drove up to Mill Hollow Reservoir and walked around. There were still piles of snow around and the kids loved throwing it at each other.

June 4, 2017

Ashton found some animal bone and thought it was pretty cool.

Kaleb was throwing a snowball at Matt. After we were done exploring we drove home. It's always fun spending the weekend in the mountains.

I was going through the kids school work for the year to see what I wanted to keep and this journal entry from Kaleb's health class had me laughing.

This was our first time holding Victoria since coming home from the hospital. Olivia was so excited to see her!

 June 6, 2017

For date night we walked around Silver Lake. It was cooler than we expected up there and luckily we had some blankets in the car.

June 9, 2017

There was still quite a bit of snow but we had fun walking around. I love how close and accessable Silver Lake is.

Another day of Matt painting Olivia's nails. She always wants a different color on each nail if you'll let her.

June 10, 2017

I guess my last post about not so many mask pictures might not be true! She's just so cute with her mask and stuffed animals. Girls are so different than boys.

June 10, 2017

This handsome boy was having a birthday this week so at Sunday dinner we sang to him. He wanted this lion house cake that my uncle makes.

June 11, 2017

When I was released from the primary presidency and called as the primary pianist I was also called to be the YW's camp director. Unfortunately, the day of our camp it snowed a couple inches and it's a long, not so great dirt road you have to go on to get there so after waiting at the stake center all day they told us it wasn't safe to go up we would all have to go up the next day. The girls were bummed and didn't want to go home so we ended up staying at our cabin that first night. It worked out great because the next day the stake activity was at the Kamas recreation center which is right by Oakley. So in the morning we packed up and met everyone there. After swimming and the rock wall we finally made it to our camp.

The girls planned out all of the food and we ate really well which is how I like to camp.

June 14, 2017

The first night we were toilet papered. The girls wanted to get back the ward that did it and they ripped every square of toilet paper apart and stored them in bags. Then on the last night they were going to get them back but they wanted to do it in the middle of the night and wanted to pull an all nighter. Well, only 5 of us made it to about 4am and finally around 5am we were done and going to get some sleep. I went with one girl to deliver the toilet paper back around their camp as the sun was just starting to come up. I slept for a couple hours until it was time to get up and pack everything to go home.

June 15, 2017

We had our 5 mile hike and thankfully it wasn't too hot with the cooler temperatures that week. We have a great group of girls and they all get along so well and are very inclusive. I'm lucky to be able to work with them!

We were at the mall and we let Ashton and Olivia do an art lesson while we did our shopping. Ashton painted an Evie from Pokemon Go and Olivia colored Olaf. They had fun and want to do it again. (Olivia still has faceprint on her face from earlier in the day.)

June 16, 2017

Ashton wanted to finish his painting at home and so I pulled out the paints and they both painted some more.

Kaleb wanted to go to Leatherby's for his birthday treat. The last couple months he really started looking more and more like a teenager and had a big growth spurt. His feet are bigger than mine!

June 16, 2017

Olivia convinced us (even Matt) to do face masks with her. Ashton doesn't look as thrilled about it as she does.

 June 17, 2017

A lady in my sister's ward does a princess dance camp for 1 week during the summer. She goes all out with the theme for each day and they come home with tons of stuff. The first day was Beauty and the Beast. They were given an umbrella, tutu, a rose, necklace and tiara.

June 19, 2017

The next day was Moana. She had more stuff than she could carry!

June 20, 2017

She did not want to take a picture this day and was being grumpy about it. But she looked cute anyways and had fun.

June 21, 2017

On Rapunzel day they brought their favorite stuffed animal. I love the wigs they got.

June 22, 2017

The boys both tried on the wig too. :)

The last day was Ariel day and they wore their swimming suits for a pool party. Olivia was spoiled the whole week and she's already signed up for 2018's princess dance camp.

June 23, 2017

This was my grandpa's first time holding his newest great-grandchild Victoria. He's always loved babies!
