August 2019

More swimming lessons for Olivia. The last day where they get to go down the slide is always her favorite!

August 1, 2019

Olivia had another zoo camp. I like her timid one finger touch to the armadillo.

The fruit trees and blackberries continued to grow. I still can't believe how many peaches and nectarines there were on the small trees.

Kaleb had his longer summer scout camp. He likes helping with the cooking part probably because he likes eating.

August 10, 2019

Olivia was with Matt one evening and she got to see her cousins. Liz sent me this cute picture of Olivia playing with Gabe.

This was how my rose starts from my grandparents house was going. Not all of them lived but that's why I cut so many starts. Unfortunately, I think I kept them too wet not realizing it would kill them. One did end up surviving though.

Olivia had a back to school night where she was able to meet her new teacher for the year Ms. Findlay.

Matt took this of Olivia at the store with a Halloween chainsaw.

Another soccer season for all 3 kids. I always love watching them play.

We got together with a bunch of family for my grandpa's birthday. Not everyone could be there but we got pictures with those of us that were.

Some of the great-grandkids.

The sunset was really pretty that night. Even though there weren't clouds the sky had such a neat fading effect.

Kaleb officially entered Murray High School as a 10th grader.

Ashton was excited to be a 6th grader, his last year in elementary school and also on student council. Olivia was just stoked for school lunch and all day school!

Olivia is a pretty outgoing, confident girl so I was a little surprised to see she felt "scared" for her first day. I do remember though how scary 'first day of school' days can feel each year not matter how old you get.

Kaleb passed his first attempt at the written driving test to get his permit. I remember the guy behind us was there for the 3rd time with his kid and joked with his son about taking so long to pass it.

It was definitely a struggle to teach Olivia how to ride without training wheels. Harder than the boys were. She just wouldn't try to balance as soon as you let go. It's like she just froze. I was so happy when she finally figured it out and she of course loved it from that moment on and would ride up and down our street any chance she could get. I was just happy to not be running up and down our street holding her up anymore!

The young mens group went to the temple together to do baptisms.

Last soccer game for the year.

Another pretty sky leaving the gym one morning.

My sister needed a new kitchen floor in her condo and so we decided being such a small kitchen and original painted cabinets that we would redo the kitchen at the same time. I helped plan it out through Ikea  which is definitely the way to go for DIY. And they're much better quality cabinets than stock ones at Lowe's/Home Depot, etc. We've done both and Ikea win hands down.

Our tiny trees with tons of fruit and the branches touching the ground. This is the peach and nectarine.
