May 2018

Olivia had her spring dance recital and danced to "Catch a Falling Star." She loves to pose for pictures.

I liked seeing this selfie she took with Matt. And you can see her "shark" tooth coming in that was pulled out later in the month.

Lots of family came to watch her dance.

The way the lighting was you couldn't get a good picture of video while they were dancing but this was at the end of their routine.

The second show I helped keep the girls busy until it was their time to perform. We had plenty of princess crafts for them to do while they waited.

Daddy gave her flowers after the show.

After dance ended we went to Victoria's 1st birthday party and Austin's 3rd birthday party. It was Mickey and Minnie Mouse themed. Victoria loved digging into her cake!

I think this is the first mention of this on the blog but Logan and Liz have 1 embryo left (it's a boy) and she can't carry it for health reasons and so I'm going to carry it for her. This was the day we signed all of the paperwork at the attorney's office. It's a long process to get cleared to do it.

Another soccer season and Ashton was taking a water break.

Ashton's buddy at school was a girl in our neighborhood and so her mom sent me a picture of this note he left for her. So cute!

May 14-21 KAUAI (See previous post)

Olivia graduated from preschool! I can't believe I won't ever have a child go to preschool again. It was fun to watch her sing and recite her poem.

She is one smart girl and more than ready for kindergarten.

Ashton had his science fair at school and he did an experiment on if you can grow plants without seeds. He grew green onions and a parsnip, the pineapple plant didn't grow though. He had fun presenting his report to other kids in other grades.

This kid likes to fall asleep in the car. It doesn't look comfortable at all though!

Olivia was so excited to get her trophy at the end of the soccer season. She played really well and keeps getting better.

May 28. 2018

We received a notice from our insurance that because we had a door that essentially led to nowhere they weren't going to be able to insure the cabin anymore. So to keep our coverage we had to add a railing to make it safe. We never use the door since there is no deck and it's always locked but for safety reasons we had to fix it. We debated putting in a deck but with time and money not in our favor we just put a Juliet railing up. We do eventually want to put a deck in but we want to do it right and it's going to cost quite a bit of money so we're waiting a couple years to do it.

The day came for Olivia to have her extra tooth "shark" or "shark bait" as we called it pulled out. She was really brave and watched her movie while they numbed her up and pulled it out. She likes telling people she's had 2 teeth out from that same spot. It's funny, she'll do great when getting stuff like this done but she cries and freaks out when they try to take x-rays. She hates how the film you bite down on pokes your mouth and she won't do it. I can't wait for the day it's no longer a battle for them to x-ray her teeth.

One of Ashton's friends mom sent me this picture of them at field day. He has such a great group of friends and they're all so nice to each other. I hope they all stay friends for a long time!
