September 2016

We spent most of the holiday weekend at the cabin. The kids enjoy playing board games.

September 3, 2016

Matt and I enjoyed relaxing in the hammock for awhile until Olivia came to join us.

We like to walk down to the river to explore and throw rocks.

It's hard to see but Kaleb has a book under there with him. He's always got a book with him.

My grandpa, sister and parents came up for the evening. We had dinner and went on a walk. Olivia wanted to take pictures with my GoPro camera.

We drove up to the Uinta's and the leaves were starting to change colors.

We decided to check out the Fairy Garden's. A couple of weeks after this they were cleaned up according to a news article. People would spray paint rocks, trees and the surroundings which isn't what it started as. So although some of them were neat to look at different areas had a lot of trash and were littered with stuff.

Heber has a nice playground and the kids enjoyed running around for awhile.

Ashton was doing everything he could to get away from me so I couldn't take his picture.

Even Matt has to put up with my picture taking.

The kids attempted to fish again in the river. Olivia is really good at casting but sadly hasn't caught anything. I doubt it's due to the fact that there's no hook or bait on it, just a weight. :)

This is (part of) what a weeks worth of peaches would look like. They were small since there were so many and we couldn't keep up with them.

September 6, 2016

We would have to pick them up before mowing the lawn and this is just from 1 week. It's too bad I didn't have time to make peach jam but having made over 70 jars of apricot jam and with soccer I didn't have the time. And of course this year (2017) we had not 1 apricot or peach on our tree.

This girl was really enjoying dance each week.

And finally her first year of preschool started! She's an October birthday so she had a little longer to wait than her brothers at this age. She made sure she had a necklace and flower headband.

She was all smiles when we got there and she held up the sign and proudly said "cheese". Olivia had the same preschool teachers and they do a great job and are really good with the kids. She's done it for over 30 years and they come home with some sort of craft almost everyday.

She was ready and the first one at the door.

She's just slightly obsessed with taking selfie's and making funny expressions. We have too many photo shoots of the two of us.

September 8, 2016

More fall soccer, it's always fun to watch the preschool aged kids. Olivia would run with her hands pushed back sometimes like she was charging the ball.

September 10, 2016

Matt took Ashton to a birthday party at the park and they had rented these blow up balls that you wear and bump into each other. Kaleb at the end of the party tried one out too and they had a blast.

September 10, 2016

Kaleb's bedroom aka the Lego room was becoming a mess. The boys spent a couple days organizing Lego's. Thankfully we don't buy as many Lego's anymore. Ashton's moved on from wanting them anymore even though he'll still play with them. And Kaleb likes the technic more advanced sets which are expensive so he rarely gets new sets. I'm not quite sure what we're going to do with all of these.

September 11, 2016

Our annual school carnival was a blast. Face painting, snow cones, cotton candy, dinner, games and lots of rides and blow-ups. It's always a fun activity for the kids.

September 12, 2016

Olivia wanted to be an ice queen.

Matt took Olivia over to Wheeler Farm to play on the playground. She can talk her dad into anything! :)

September 14, 2016

Kaleb's soccer team did really well this season. He loves playing and all of the kids are so nice to each other and friendly which is nice to see. They have 7th-12th grade combined since not as many kids play in this age group but they all have a blast playing together.

September 15, 2016

Here's the 'after' picture of the Lego room. Better but still so many Lego's everywhere. I just pretend they aren't there and don't go into Kaleb's room, it's easier.

September 18, 2016

Kaleb has always enjoyed art. He's always been able to draw people so much better than I ever was able to. He really enjoys his art class.

September 19, 2016

I caught Matt and Olivia playing Candy Land in their blanket fort.

September 20, 2016

I can't remember why but Matt and I had to run to the cabin one weekday evening for something and the leaves were so pretty changing colors. And I love that the cabin is so close that it's not a big deal to drive up and back in the same day.

September 21, 2016

Crazy hair day at school for Ashton.

September 23, 2016

We took the kids bowling at Fat Cat's. They had been asking to go since we hadn't been in a long time.

September 24, 2016

The kids enjoyed bowling but were bored when it wasn't their turn so they started using my phone to take selfies of each other and themselves.

After we went to see The Magnificent Seven movie with my family. Olivia wanted her picture in this troll display.

September 24, 2016

I have video that goes along with this picture but Olivia still enjoys putting on "shows" for us. She danced and sang "Let it Go" for us in the the living room. She's such a performer.

September 26, 2016

Ashton loves these coloring pages he does in class when they're done with their work.

September 27, 2016

Pack meeting this month was at the Granite Quarry Trail. The kids enjoyed climbing on all of the big rocks and exploring the trail.

Here are more of Kaleb's art assignments.
