February 2019

Olivia is always drawing and coloring. She's definitely a crafty girl.

February 1, 2019

Olivia had been asking to go ice skating for a long time. I think she didn't realize how hard it would be but she still loved it.

February 2, 2019

My baby bump starting showing around 14 weeks.

February 3, 2019 (14+ weeks)

Olivia wasn't feeling good and stayed home from school. All she wanted to do was lay down all day poor girl.

February 4, 2019

The kids love the Lego store and so does Matt. He took them there for a Lego build. (I'm sad they don't do them anymore.)

February 5, 2019

I always like documenting some of the kid's school work they bring home. Ashton did this when they were learning about the amendments.

February 7, 2019

More of Olivia's crafting. She wanted this box to be a home for her animals.

February 7, 2019

By the next day she had covered it in pink paper, had me sew a pillow and blanket and colored different things to put around the box. She's always being creative and I love it.

February 8, 2019

Olivia's favorite thing to do in the snow is "snow moveel" (snow mobile). So cute when they're figuring out how to spell new words and sound them out.

February 8, 2019

I know I take too many pictures of sunsets but I love watching them.

February 8, 2019

Ashton made his own valentine's box and wanted to do a penguin. He did a great job and made it all on his own.

February 14, 2019

The kids were so cute and set the table for Valentine's evening. We had a fancy dinner at home of pot roast which the kids love.

February 14, 2019

I was in charge of the craft for Olivia's kindergarten class and we did these plate string hearts. I thought it would be simple but I think next time I need to do less holes so it's a shorter string. They would get the string tangled up quite a bit but it was still fun.

Olivia HATES losing teeth. She'll wait until it's barely hanging on and then we usually have to force her to let us pull it out with plenty of tears. Funny how different each kid is. Kaleb's never cared and would randomly pull out teeth without us even knowing he had a loose tooth. Ashton at first was scared but soon realized it wasn't a big deal and pulls his own out. Olivia on the other hand not only is scared for the pain she hates the feeling of then tooth missing after on top of any pain. She's always smiles after though and writes the cutest notes to the tooth fairy.

February 20, 2019

I have so many pictures of Olivia in this spot at Target. She's always asking me to take her picture here. :)

While Matt went to get the snowmobile from the cabin where it was parked the kids played on the sleds around the parking lot. I, on the other hand, stayed in the warm car and watched.

February 23, 2019

There was a lot of snow up there this year. The fire pit area has a tall table that you can kind of see off to the left that's completely buried.

It took a long time to make a path to the door from the road but the kids love sledding and playing in all that snow.

Another dramatic tooth pulling but she survived!

February 27, 2019

Kind of hard to read but it says "Dear the tooth fairy I want to or three dollars from Olivia thanks."

January 2019

It's been a crazy last 12 months. I keep all of our pictures on an external hard drive and also saved to our computer. Unfortunately my external hard drive went bad and I hadn't done a second back up to the computer in about 18 months. It took me months to get pictures from those 18 month backed up and in one place again with having different cameras and phones but I am finally caught back up again with my pictures being up to date and sorted in one folder. And I've learned my lesson the hard way and I have 2 external hard drives now in case one goes bad. I think I only have a 2 week period that I wasn't able to recover pictures from which isn't bad considering I was worried I would lose a lot more than that. So add that to the normal craziness of life and that's why I'm so far behind in blogging, again. :)

We always celebrate my nephew Eli's birthday by singing to him and having dinner after.

January 4, 2019

The next day I was officially 10 weeks pregnant which meant it was my last progesterone shot. Thankfully they didn't hurt most days but it was nice knowing I was done. It was a process each morning getting everything ready and then I would heat up the area before and after the shot to help so that I wouldn't be so sore. It was worth the extra effort but definitely made it more of a process than just a quick injection.

(Liz was much better at keeping track of dates, etc. so I hope she doesn't mind some of the screenshots I took of her instagram posts.)

January 5, 2019

I couldn't believe all of the syringes I had accumulated so I took a picture of them before disposing of them. I probably sound like a record on repeat but I've gained much greater sympathy for those that go through IVF and everything that it entails.

January 7, 2019

Kaleb's school had an art show to display some of the kid's art from the semester so we were able to walk around and look at his exhibits.

January 9, 2019

Olivia had been looking forward to this night for months. Her first daddy-daughter dance at school. She had picked out her dress months before and picked out what shoes and jewelry she wanted to wear too.

January 11, 2019

You can see the excitement in her smile.

They went with a couple other dad's and daughters and went out to eat before going to the dance.

Matt was good about taking some pictures at the dance for me. It was a candy theme.

After the dance we all met up together to hang out. These girls were worn out and quickly fell asleep on the short drive home.

This was Kaleb's toothpick project that he made for his 3-D Art class.

January 17, 2019

Another birthday for Ashton! He wanted brownies with homemade German chocolate frosting and we celebrated at Sunday dinner. I like when they pick one of my favorite desserts for their birthday dessert. Yum!

January 20, 2019

The next day for Ashton's birthday he got to help shovel a bunch of snow! At least it was a holiday so they didn't have school. With the excuse of being pregnant I got to stay inside where it was nice and warm.

January 21, 2019

Our last pinewood derby ever! Ashton cut out his car by himself and did all of the painting. I think he came in 7th place overall which isn't bad considering we aren't very good at building pinewood derby cars.

January 24, 2019

Olivia was able to leave one of her stuffed animals at school overnight for a sleepover. The next day there were pictures of what the stuffed animals did during the time the kids were at home. Olivia always hates spelling words wrong, yes, even only being in kindergarten and so she'll come home and ask me how to spell certain words. So after I took this picture she changed her misspelled words on this paper. "Angel was played the ukulele and Angle was crazy!" She did great trying to sound out ukulele, that's not an easy word so it was fun to see how she spelled it.

January 24, 2019

It's a little sad to blog about the cabin because we actually sold it (July 2019) and so seeing pictures makes me miss being up there. I'm still happy we sold it when we did but we had so many fun memories up there.

This time we spent most of the day digging out the snowmobile since it was still up at the cabin. And being pregnant I wasn't much help with the digging and lifting and so Matt and Kaleb had to dig it out. Olivia brought a friend, Avaree and they had fun sledding and playing in the deep snow.

January 26, 2019

Even in the winter it's so pretty up there.

Olivia learned how to make snowflakes and spent the day making a whole bunch to tape all around the house.

January 30, 2019

Ashton and Olivia found this caution tape in the storage room and thought it would be funny to tape it to our door.

The sign says "Caution Crazy Parents in Room Beware."

January 31, 2019

Olivia was still in the "potty talk is funny phase" so her sign says toot.
