April 2015

I tried the sock curls again that I mentioned from this blog but this time used 5 socks. Here's Olivia before bed.

She was spraying Ashton with the spray bottle.

And here's the next morning. She wouldn't hold still long enough for a good picture and I tried many times but as you can see it worked better than the last time. I'm sure I'll use this technique even more when we have 9am church again!

Easter weekend we spent up at the cabin. We love being up there and the kids always get along and have so much fun together exploring. The full moon lit up the sky and was shining so bright on the snow that was left on the north facing mountain. We had a yummy breakfast on Saturday and went on a walk exploring around the area. We then drove over to the lake which was still frozen. It wasn't that cold outside so I was surprised it was still frozen other than the edges. We had fun throwing large rocks out onto the ice trying to break it but they just sat on top of the lake. We also picked up a couple small pine trees to plant around our cabin and planted those on Saturday. It was a fun weekend!
April 3-5, 2015

That Sunday, Easter morning, we stopped at my parents house where the Easter Bunny had filled our baskets and hid eggs in the backyard for the kids. Olivia loved finding the eggs. We had a yummy brunch and listened to conference at my parents house.

April 5, 2015

It's not windy very often but it was really windy at our house so we took some kites to my aunt and uncles house where we have Sunday dinner. We were able to get the kites up for about 10 minutes and then the wind died down. It wasn't as windy as it had been at our house but the kids still enjoyed it.

April 5, 2015

My aunt always has hundreds of eggs to find and the kids come away with more candy than Halloween!

My mom had bought some marshmallows and peeps for a craft and the boys started a marshmallow war making shooters out of partially inflated gallon ziploc bags. It was a good 30 minutes of marshmallows flying all over the yard and we're still finding them in her backyard.

Olivia was watching a movie with the boys before bed and fell asleep with a flower and vase.

April 7, 2015

I didn't think to take a picture until it was over but Murray Parks and Rec. had a soccer camp the Saturday before games started. It was helpful for me with coaching because it gave me some new drills to use in practice. After they had a raffle with prizes and Kaleb won a small football helmet in a case signed by Lou Holtz and yes, I had to Google who that was.

April 11, 2015

We started teasing Olivia on Sunday mornings that she had to get ready for the "Nursery Ball" because she always wants her hair done, nails painted, jewelry on, etc. We don't have church until 1pm but she is trying to get ready first thing in the morning. Matt's always painting her nails for her.

April 12, 2015

She loves to be outside any chance she can get.

April 12, 2015

She wanted to help daddy water the lawn.

Olivia and Matt walked to the park by my aunts house to play after dinner.

April 12, 2015

And my dad was able to pull out Ashton's 2nd tooth that was being really stubborn. His teeth are so tight and even his baby teeth were crooked because there wasn't enough room so I know he'll need braces one day.

April 12, 2015

Kaleb did a report on Milton Hershey for school and did a great job. They worked on their reports and presentations during class and he was able to finish everything during class time and never had to bring it home. He even came up with questions to ask after and the kids could get a Hershey kiss if they answered it correctly. I loved reading his report, he's a good writer and I'm sure it's from all the books he reads.

April 16, 2015

My cousin, Colton Satterfield, won the BMX Big Air Gold in the X-Games last year (and just won the Gold again being the first person to ever land the trick he did on the Mega Ramp) and held a Ramp Riot show in his hometown of Pocatello, Idaho that we were able to go see. I wasn't sure how Olivia would do driving up there and sitting through the show so she stayed home with Matt. The boys loved it, especially Kaleb.

It was hard taking pictures that weren't blurry but that's Colton in the white shirt.

The tricks they can do are amazing. It was fun to watch and there were about 20 pro guys there riding.

They signed autographs after and Kaleb had them sign his poster. It was a fun night and I'm glad we were able to go.

Just another picture of my bag lady. She always has some sort of purse or bag full of random things with her.

April 24, 2015

Spring soccer was fun and Ashton did really well. Usually him and one other kid were the ones scoring the goals. He plays more defensively though than offensively. He would rather make sure the other team doesn't score than score himself.

April 25, 2015

I had to coach Kaleb's team this season and so I guess this is how Ashton and my family kept themselves entertained during one of his games.

Most of the time Olivia falls asleep on the way to Sunday dinner but even Ashton can't always make it without falling asleep too. Kaleb just reads books, who needs sleep! Even at night he sneaks books to read and a light so he can keep reading late into the night.

Olivia came in holding her alien and said, "look a headband". She had put a perler bead on his antenna as a headband. Always accessorizing!

April 28, 2015

I love the spring time when all of our flowers are blooming. It's so pretty and our hens and chicks have been multiplying like crazy and filling in the gaps in the rocks.

March 2015

There were a couple of weeks where Olivia wasn't being very good in church and Matt had to take her out in the hall.

March 1, 2015

Olivia asks almost every week at Sunday dinner to paint. We have many painted bird houses around our house, she just loves painting.

March 1, 2015

Olivia was reclined with her feet up watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

March 3, 2015

I was amazed at Olivia's coordination and how steady she was stacking these Jenga blocks. Even I can barely stack them 4 high and 5 is almost impossible but she loved trying to see how tall she could make her "tower".

March 4, 2015

We were getting an appraisal done on our house and since the whole house was clean at the same time (a rarity these days) I figured I should take pictures! You can also see the finished trim on the wall in the living room that was added when Matt's parents were here. I had been wanting to do something like that for years but wasn't sure if I would like it and couldn't quite get myself to commit to it but I love it. It's great for a quick place to put backpacks and jackets.
March 6, 2015

As soon as the appraiser left Olivia wanted her stool pulled back out from under her bed and put back where it belonged. She didn't like that I had moved stuff around in her room.

My uncle and his wife were sealed in the Draper temple one evening and although it was cold and windy we loved the view.

March 7, 2015

You can even see a planet to the left of the temple in this picture.

We had to check out the Lego exhibit at the mall. We took Kaleb and Ashton's friends with us and had fun looking at all of the different American monuments and structures. I think the boys are practicing the pledge of allegiance here, not sure. They were all being silly during any pictures I took.

March 14, 2015

Olivia wasn't as thrilled and started throwing a fit (she was really tired) so we sat down for a minute while the boys looked around in the Lego store.

When Olivia was really little, under a year old, Matt would always paint her toe nails especially for church. As she got older she hated her feet being touched. We couldn't trim her toe nails or anything so we gave up on painting her toes for almost a year unless she was asleep and we would try to sneak some paint on them. This Sunday she happened to see me painting my toe nails (which doesn't happen very often) and she really wanted me to paint her nails so we had to document it because it was so surprising to us. Now she's addicted to having her nails painted and loves it. Her nails are always painted and she loves drying them in her little nail dryer.
March 15, 2015

It's always fun to draw with chalk!
March 16, 2015

Sundays are hard with 1 o'clock church so she had some snuggle time with dad after church.

There are only a couple of daffodil and tulip bulbs in front of my office at work and Olivia came in one day and had picked most of them to give to me. Sweet but she thinks she can pick flowers anywhere!
March 17, 2015

This evening we had fun playing at Mountview Park. The kids love all the different playgrounds and activities at this park and it keeps them busy for a long time. Ashton always has to ham it up when I take his picture.

March 20, 2015

Olivia loves to walk (or in this case run) to and from church with her brothers.

March 22, 2015

She loves stopping to look at the pretty flowers and tries to pick them if I'm not watching.

Even though it was a rainy day I had to go out and take some pictures of the blossoms on our trees.

March 23, 2015

This girl is a daredevil and not scared of anything. That's one way to get to the computer screen.

March 23, 2015

A couple days later I took more pictures of the blossoms with the blue sky and sun out. I love spring time.

March 25, 2015

The boys are so good about playing with Olivia and she just loves to be outside. She loves playing ring-around-the-rosie with them.

March 28, 2015

Since Easter was on conference weekend Olivia wore her Easter dress the week before. She loved all the layers on the bottom and it's her favorite dress to twirl in.

March 29, 2015

I had to sneak a picture in with Olivia. (Random side note more for myself but it's weird to see things in some of these pictures that were taken when our house was burglarized [in June] such as the necklace I'm wearing. It's weird to think they're just gone forever, not that it's a big deal it's just stuff but it still is weird to see pictures of some of the stuff.)

Olivia had set up these toys and said they were kissing. She's such a girly-girl!
