The last couple of weeks have been busy! Last Friday was Matt's birthday and we both took the day off. Kaleb had his last fieldtrip at the zoo so we all went together and it was packed. There were so many schools there for fieldtrips it was crazy.

Saturday was our 6th wedding anniversary and we celebrated by doing yardwork for 10 hours straight (with a couple of stops to Home Depot throughout the day). We took out some rose bushes and made the flower beds smaller. We put in about 160 sq. ft. of sod and planted 2 trees since there are no trees on our property. We also put in a brick wall around the flower bed and some new flowers and small bushes. Now the front yard is done and the back yard is going to be alot more work. There are probably 30 bushes in the back yard. (I'll try to post some pictures later)
I finally have a stove/oven after 4 weeks of not having one. We bought a new one and then we had to rewire the electrical to match the 40 amps the oven took. Luckily we have a mostly unfinished basement so we were able to access the wire and it only cost $30 for the wire.
Yesterday the police were checking in on an older man in our apartment complex and he had passed away. What made me sad is that the mailman was the one who called the police and was worried about him. He has no family and it makes me sad that there is no one that would have even known he had passed or that something was wrong. It makes me grateful for the people that I have in my life that care about me. So it's been a crazy couple of weeks and I hope things start calming down. Kaleb finishes preschool this week and I know he's going to miss it. Hopefully I can think of fun things to do at the apartment this summer until kindergarten starts!
